Dr. Darlene Townes, PsyD

Clinical Psychologist, Founder
Dr. Darlene R Townes is the CEO/Chief Psychologist of The Fountain and a licensed clinical psychologist. She serves adults, couples, and families experiencing mood, anxiety and trauma (i.e., PTSD, racial, sexual, etc.) disorders, using a toolbox of therapies focused on using your personal strengths and collaboration with the goal of empowerment.
Dr. Townes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Chapman University, and Master and Doctorate degrees from John F. Kennedy University. Her dissertation title, “Is the God-Image of Christian Women Impacted During the Decision-Making Process to Divorce?”

Dion Johnson, M.A.
Psychological Associate
Mr. Dion Johnson is a supportive Psychological Associate, with 5 years and 3500 direct clinical hours. He is proficient in psychological testing, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and narrative therapy. Mr. Johnson is dedicated to fostering positive and therapeutic environment to support wellbeing. He has a BA in Psychology from Point Loma University, a Master Degree from Alliant International University in Marriage & Family Therapy, and PsyD Clinical Psychology from Chicago School of Professional Psychology expected in May 2026.
Mr. Johnson completed his Marriage and Family Internship at Wuott Counseling Center. He conducted short- and long-term individual and group therapy focusing on PTSD symptoms, trauma exposure and addiction recovery. Addiction recovery included a 12-step/abstinence-based model, Seeking Safety and Motivational Interviewing. Specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), he interned at Aurora Behavioral Healthcare with diverse populations to effectively implement DBT principles and techniques to facilitate emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
